Storage Systems Division
5600 Cottle Rd. San Jose, CA 95193

IBM's tri-angle shaped SSD plant site employs over 10,000 people, and is bordered by Hwy 85 to the south, (upper/left corner), Cottle Rd to the West, (overpass in upper/left corner), and Monterey Hwy to the north/east, (lower/right corner). The undeveloped areas of the campus are orchards which are leased out to and operated by the Lester brothers.

Taking this photo of the entire plant site was a particular challenge for me because I had to stay below the 1,500 foot floor to San Jose International Airport's class Charlie airspace which is directly above the plant site, and V485, the Victor airway which is the main approach path for large commercial aircraft landing at SJC, which runs directly over the plant site. For the photo below, I dropped down to 500 feet to get a close-up of building 109.
